This reseller selected SOFTRAX to manage thousands of pieces of inventory from the time of their arrival until their ultimate retirement by the customer. The system tracks the location of each product throughout its lifecycle, automates all billing and maintenance renewals-even captures warranty and service events.

The company resells complete systems and services to their customers. It’s not unusual for a school district or local government to order 200 PCs at a time along with the company’s software, third-party applications, as well as peripherals. Every item must be ordered to specification, received into inventory, invoiced and set up on a maintenance renewal schedule before it is shipped to the customer.

In their search for a new solution to manage these operations, the company had two primary requirements; a true inventory system and a package to handle maintenance billing.
