Bruce Milne is the CEO and founder of Corum Group, the leading seller of software and IT firms. He has overseen more M&A transactions than anyone in the world over the past 20 years, netting clients in 14 countries $5 Billion in personal wealth.
A leader in the software industry, he has founded or owned four software companies, including the largest vertical market software company in its time, AMI. This Inc. 500 firm, at its peak, was rated by IDC as the fastest growing computer related company in the world. He has also been at the vanguard of creative financing and, at one point, raised more venture capital in a single closing than anyone in history without a lead investor.
Because of his expertise, Bruce has served on advisory boards for Microsoft, IBM, and Apple, and has been a board member or founding investor of some of the most innovative firms in their field, including Blue Coat, Bright Star and Sabaki. In his community efforts, he has furthered the software industry as an advisor to two governors, a senator, as a board member of the Washington Technology Center, and as the founder of the WSA, the nation’s most active regional technology trade association.
His involvement and reputation reached beyond the U.S. as he worked with the Canadian government to found SoftWorld, and he was recently chosen as one of the 200 most influential individuals in the IT community in Europe. He was also the only juror from North America for the Tornado 100 Awards given to Europe’s top technology firms in 2005.
A graduate with Distinction from Harvard Business School, Bruce has written three books on business models for success, including Power Planning. He is a frequent author and lecturer, currently heads the Selling Up Selling Out conference series, and is the Chair of the World Financial Symposiums, which brings together global leaders in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, and M&A at annual events in San Francisco, New York and London.
