Lee Dittmar is a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP where he leads the Enterprise Governance Consulting practice and serves as co-leader of our Sarbanes-Oxley services. He has more than 25 years of consulting experience, leading consulting engagements of many types and sizes for a wide variety of clients in the United States, Japan, Canada and Central America and providing advice and counsel to projects in Europe, Australia, China, South Africa and South America. His work has encompassed strategy, business process improvement, information technology and education and training. He has led performance improvement initiatives and reengineered management processes, programs and practices to reduce costs. He has also helped developed frameworks for the use of new information technologies to improve business processes.
He has authored relevant articles, including, “The Sarbox Effect – Driving Shareholder Value, What to do in SOX Year 2?” and, “Currency of Good Governance,” which highlights business challenges in the post-Sarbanes-Oxley environment and outlines actions leading companies can take to differentiate themselves. Lee is a highly sought-after speaker and has addressed many audiences at conferences and other events. He speaks frequently on governance, Sarbanes-Oxley and how companies can improve financial information, financial performance and investor confidence.
Lee holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Drexel University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
