Mr. Carroll originally joined the Boston office of Summit Partners in 1993. Subsequently, he attended business school and returned to Summit in 1998. Previously, Mr. Carroll was a consultant at Bain & Co., Inc. and an Analyst at BankBoston Corporation.

His board directorships and investments include AmeriPath, Inc.; Blue Ocean Software, Inc.; CallTech Communications, Inc.; Catalyst International, Inc.; Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc.; FleetCor Technologies, Inc.; Fry, Inc.; LogistiCare, Inc., MEDITECH Holdings, LLC; Pacer Electronics, Inc.; Suburban Ostomy Supply Company, Inc.; Sybari Software, Inc.; and Virtual Prototypes, Inc.

Mr. Carroll received an A.B. in Economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
