    Softrax is a leading provider of enterprise billing and revenue management solutions that fundamentally change the way companies manage, analyze, and forecast their revenue.
  • How do you see yourself in the competitive landscape, with solutions like Oracle, Peoplesoft or Microsoft?
    These are financial and ERP systems vendors that provide a broad base of solutions to many types of companies. We view their systems in many cases as being complementary to Softrax. Several ERP or financial application vendors are even Softrax customers, because they have extremely complicated revenue streams and realize they need a solution built specifically to address their business' revenue management requirements.
  • Does Softrax do accounting and actually keep the books?
    There are many accounting system vendors that provide generic general ledger or accounts payables software, but they don't incorporate revenue management functionality into their applications. Softrax is completely focused on revenue management, i.e. the ongoing process of generating and automating billing, maintenance renewals, contracts, licenses and then allocating revenue from complex revenue streams appropriately. Softrax also enables far greater reporting and forecasting of bookings, deferred revenue, and revenue backlogs, because revenue can only be accurately reported on and forecasted if it has been booked according to all appropriate rules. Typical accounting applications do not address this need.
