Senior Solutions Architect, Professional Services
Softrax Corporation is seeking an experienced software Solution Architect as a key player in our Professional Services Group. This position supports Softrax’s next generation enterprise finance management software. The Revenue Manager product targets Fortune 1000 clients to automate, track and report on their revenue recognition policies. This high profile position within the Professional Services team will work closely with the internal Softrax project team, lead the technical solution and technical project team, as well as have a direct line of communication with the Client.
This leadership role requires a candidate with experience in enterprise application and integration technologies, excellent communications skills, leadership qualities and a customer focused mindset. The primary focus of this position is on the effective design and implementation of solutions that meet our client’s needs. Create comprehensive application solutions that are aligned to Softrax’s architecture standards and best practices, common solutions and services, to meet business client’s needs. Help building a portfolio of best practices and other intellectual assets for the Professional Services Organization by leveraging your technical skills and engagement experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design the solution framework for the application implementation.
- Work with Business Advisory Team to perform requirement analysis, fit-gap analysis and implementation specification.
- Lead and train the team to interpret design and implement per best practices.
- Hands-on development of integration solution. Team leading and/or perform the hands-on development working with internal and external resources.
- Identify reusable assets during implementation and harvest them to build out portfolio of reusable solutions and services.
- Establish solution design and implementation best practices. Contribute to building of engagement knowledge base.
- Proficient in presenting and demonstrating features of Softrax Revenue Manager, service offerings and related consulting methodologies.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the customer, partners and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of enterprise application/integration experience, at least 5 years of experience in the development of large enterprise business applications and 5 years in architectural design.
- Extensive Experience with XML, XQuery, XPath, WSDL and XSD.
- Solid working experience with web services: SOAP and WSDL based development
- Working knowledge of BPEL Orchestrations, Enterprise Service Bus and Messaging Concepts. For example: Active Endpoints, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle BPM Suite, etc.
- Strong knowledge of object oriented programming and tiered applications in a JEE or .Net environment
- Experience with major CRM and ERP applications (especially financial module related). For example: SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Siebel, etc.
- Experience with business rules engines is highly desired
- Literate with latest industry trends around web technologies and integration approaches – SOA, WS-* specifications, SaaS, etc.
- Strong knowledge of database concepts and data modeling capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Some travel (perhaps up to 20%)
- BS/MS CS or other engineering disciplines
