Software Engineer, Professional Services
SOFTRAX Corporation is seeking a software developer with .NET experience to develop and maintain key functionality for a financial based application. This person will assume a significant role in the on-going development of a new technology platform for the company’s next generation suite of software products. Basic knowledge in .NET and Object Oriented Design & Architecture is required. The candidate must possess highly effective communication skills and will work closely with the team leader/members to develop against the architecture and deliver key components of the solution. The ability to assimilate designs effectively is also a significant part of this position.
This is an especially exciting opportunity for a software developer to become part of a company that has proven its ability to field first generation commercial products while refining and expanding their own skill set.
Requirements:
Two to four years experience in commercial software product development. Experience using object-oriented techniques developing in .NET is required.
Domain experience in financials or operations products, or related enterprise products such as ERP, or a similar product is a benefit.

- Solid understanding and experience with Object Oriented Design & Architecture
- Understanding of UML
- C#
- Experience developing Web Services
- Good communication/documentation skills
- Enthusiasm for learning new technology while developing financial based applications.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
- Experience working on complex applications involving multi-threading, server farms, etc.
- ADO.NET
- Experience working in a team environment
- Financial application background (Working knowledge of billing, general ledger, account receivable, etc.)
- Ability to quickly adapt and understand various business processes
