Engagement Manager
Softrax is seeking a highly motivated leader with proven expertise managing large Fortune 1000 engagements for enterprise software applications, preferably SAP and Oracle. The candidate will be part of the Softrax Revenue Manager Services team responsible for implementing Softrax’s next generation suite of enterprise revenue management software.
The individual will be an experienced professional with demonstrated ability to build client relationships by establishing project strategy and deliverables; developing and delivering solutions; managing project resources and delivery teams. The individual will support the pre-sale effort for determining engagement scope and resource requirements, based on detailed discovery sessions with the client stakeholders. The individual will then lead the implementation team, coordinate resources, manage the project, ensure quality of deliverables, develop and maintain status documents and project plans.
Responsibilities:
- Lead pre-sales discovery sessions to establish client's strategic business drivers, validate business and technical requirements and determine project scope.
- Lead pre-sales product demonstrations and executive presentations to communicate product solution benefits and engagement strategy.
- Manage the development of project Statement of Work, including project methodology, scope, timeline, resources, and deliverables and present to prospects.
- Work closely with the Practice Director to establish project team of Softrax resources and partner resources and prepare project budget.
- Provide primary interface to the customer and manage customer expectations by building and expanding relationships; communicate project status and open issues; prepare status reports; identify and negotiate engagement additions and extensions.
- Manage the successful delivery of the project by consistently monitoring and communicating team deliverables; monitoring project progress; managing team and individual contributions; conducting project reviews; preparing and completing action plans; tracking action items.
- Manage project scope and budget, ensuring any changes in scope are quickly communicated and approved by customer.
- Continuously improve methodology, project templates and tools to reduce costs and shorten implementation time.
Requirements:
- 5 - 7 years engagement management experience managing enterprise software implementations, preferably in an SAP and/or Oracle environment.
- Pre-sale and business development experience successfully supporting/managing and closing large ERP/Enterprise solutions, professional services proposals and contracts.
- Strong project management skills for enterprise software implementation projects (ERP) in large complex environments (multiple platforms, new technology, and global projects).
- Demonstrated experience in leading multi-million dollar engagements through entire project life cycle.
- Experience working with integrators.
- Sound understanding of financial, accounting and operational processes within the enterprise.
- Experience working with customer personnel from finance and IT organizations as well as internally with technical services, product development, sales and marketing teams.
- Basic understanding of SOA concepts and the web services specifications.
- Strong problem solving skills working in demanding environment
- Experience working with cross-functional and cross-organizational (vendors, clients, partners) teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Some travel – 20-30%
