Customer Care Engineer/Tech Support
This position requires several years of practical experience supporting financial applications. The individual will work as part of a team and under the direction of the Customer Care Manager. The individual will be responsible for supporting business applications and technical infrastructure for customers that are small to medium in size. Knowledge of all aspects of a financial operation, including: Order Management, Inventory Control, Revenue Recognition for contract driven sales as well as A/R, A/P, G/L and the required workflow amongst these application areas is required. The position involves concurrently working on multiple support situations. Travel is minimal.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to provide quality and timely technical product support to Softrax users, via the telephone and email. The ability to communicate directly with customers is vital, as is the capacity to define and translate business questions and needs into system usage responses. As a Customer Care Engineer the candidate will become an expert in our financial and operations software applications. The candidate will work in a team environment assessing the nature of the customer's problem, acquiring pertinent details to troubleshoot issues, reproducing and reporting software defects to our development team, and formulating and validating solutions. The Customer Care Engineer will provide a high degree of communication to our customers from initial problem report through the resolution of their issue.

Requirements:
- 2 years technical support experience
- Business/Accounting application support experience
- Excellent communication (Oral & written) and organizational skills
- Experience as a member of a support team providing support to end users
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Experience with GUI-based and Web-based applications
- Working knowledge of Web-centric architectures including IIS, MS/NT security and Active Directory
- BS in either CS, CIS, Business, Accounting, or equivalent
- MS Windows and MS Office fluency
Preferred Skills:
- SQL experience and RDBMS familiarity with MS SQL Server or Oracle
- Working knowledge of MS Windows operating systems
- Working knowledge of COM+, ASP, ASP.Net, distributed architecture and VBS
- Experience in documenting customer business needs for application customizations
- User or Support experience with Compuware’s Changepoint application.
