Implementation Consultant, Revenue Manager

Softrax is looking for a candidate that is up to the challenge of being a key member of a highly motivated team responsible for implementing Softrax’s next generation Revenue Management products. You will serve as lead product consultant utilizing your product expertise to successfully implement Softrax’s next generation Revenue Management products.

You will develop a deep product expertise enabling you to develop system functional requirements as well as application configuration, integration, test plans and customer application training. You will also document the business process flow between Softrax applications, other enterprise applications and manual processes that result in the customer’s proper revenue treatment of their business transactions. An applicant familiar with revenue recognition processes as well as SOX auditing experience would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a customer facing Softrax application expert on Revenue Manager.
  • Analyze and document customer revenue processes.
  • Develop functional requirements for implementation of Softrax Revenue Manager application, specifying end to end revenue process flows, input data attributes, application configuration, integration specifications and test plans.
  • Communicate the requirements to the Technical Services organization for implementation.
  • Provide application training to customer personnel.
  • Foster new product ideas and drive enhancements through your direct experience in the field.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years professional services experience implementing large enterprise financial applications (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion…) with direct experience developing system specifications, process models, data models and test plans.
  • Good financial/accounting systems experience; familiarity with revenue recognition policies (e.g. 97-2 and 81-1) a plus.
  • Basic understanding of SOA concepts; direct experience with ERP SOA frameworks (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is a plus.
  • Detail oriented, works accurately and quickly.
  • Able to adapt and be flexible in a growing and changing environment.
  • Capability to interact with customer personnel from finance and IT organizations as well as internally with technical services, product development, sales and marketing teams.
  • Excellent communication (oral & written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Some travel – 20 -30%
